Light-Curable Materials for Infotainment Systems
Dymax manufactures durable light-curing conformal coatings, encapsulants, and masking materials for infotainment systems. Our printed circuit board (PCB) conformal coatings and encapsulants provide excellent protection against thermal shock, heat, humidity, and corrosive elements to keep infotainment systems operating at their best.
The materials cure in seconds upon exposure to UV/LED light, enabling fast processing, greater throughput, and ultimately cost savings. Dymax industrial adhesives and coatings are used in a variety of automotive systems including radios, GPS modules, satellite navigation, telematics boxes, as well as portable navigators, power audio, and car multimedia.
If shadow areas are a concern, our high-performance conformal coatings and encapsulants are formulated with secondary moisture cure. To help confirm proper placement of the material, colored maskants are available.

PCB protective maskant with color change upon cure provides one-layer protection with a rack free cure up to 0.5 in [12.7 mm]. This maskant is compatible with gold and copper connector pins and resists solvent-based conformal coatings and primers. For enhanced visibility, this product dispenses pink, transitions to clear upon cure, and features a blue fluorescing tracer.

Blue PCB protective maskant. This UV-curable maskant is compatible with gold and copper connector pins. The product is easily removable, eliminating the concern of ionic contamination or silicone left behind by other methods.

Fluorescing conformal coating designed for rapid coating of PCBs and other electronic assemblies with coating thicknesses between 51 mic [0.002 in] and 510 mic [0.020 in]. This coating cures upon exposure to UV/Visible light and features a secondary heat cure to address shadow areas. UL 94 Flammability V-1 rating.

Resilient chip encapsulant and wire bond adhesive designed for applications where a thixotropic, high-viscosity encapsulant or a damming material is required. This product cures with UV/Visible light and features a secondary heat cure to address shadow areas. This material has great flexibility, provides high moisture and thermal resistance, and fluoresces blue.
9483
High-performance conformal coating that cures tack-free upon exposure to UV/Visible light and then over time with ambient moisture. This product fluoresces bright blue, exhibits excellent corrosion, chemical resistance, and thermal cycling properties. The coating is easily applied from 2-8 mils (0.002 in – 0.008 in) thick to meet the requirements of most automotive PCB designs. UL 94 Flammability V-0 rating.

Light and heat-curable encapsulant & potting resin for electronic assembly and circuit boards where enhanced moisture and thermal cycling, and abrasion resistance are required. This material provides optimal coverage over difficult circuit geometries and minimizes stress on delicate wire bonds.

Blue PCB protective maskant designed for rapid masking of electronic components and assemblies. This maskant is compatible with most conformal coating applications, masking for wave solder or reflow processes, and masking for Parylene coatings. For enhanced visibility, this product dispenses blue and features a blue fluorescing tracer.

Fluorescing conformal coating designed for superior circuit protection with coating thicknesses up to 0.254 mm (0.010 in). This product cures with UV/Visible light first, then over time with a secondary ambient moisture cure. UL 94 Flammability V-0 rating.

Formulated to ensure complete cure on high-density PCBs where shadow areas are a concern. This product is optimized for coating thicknesses between 25 mic [0.001 in] and 127 mic [0.005 in] and excels in coating applications where chemical and abrasion resistance is critical. The material cures upon exposure to UV/Visible light and features a secondary moisture cure. UL 94 Flammability V-0 rating.
