Harsh Chemical Environment Processing Maskant

SpeedMask® 734-BT UV/Visible light-curable maskant provides good surface protection during chemical milling/etching, plating, and anodizing, as well as aggressive grit-blasting operations. The products aid in the manufacturing, overhaul, repair, and rework of turbine engine blades, vanes, and other turbine components. 734-BT is impervious to most acid and alkali solutions. When cured, it provides surface protection from chemical processing of nickel alloys, steel, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, and glass.

This fast-curing, organic masking resin is designed for either spray or dip masking of components. Used as a temporary protective coating, the material is a replacement for environmentally hazardous and time-consuming solvent- or water-based maskants. 734-BT requires no mixing prior to use.

Dymax materials have no solvents added and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. Dymax lamps offer the optimum balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures.

This material is in full compliance with the RoHS2 Directives 2015/863/EU.
