Light-curable SpeedMask® 726-SC maskant offers excellent protection during surface finishing of metal components used in aerospace engines, orthopedic implants, and general masking applications. The resins are resistant to plating, anodizing, air-plasma spray, and grit-blasting, as well as shot-peening processes. Featuring Dymax patented See-Cure technology, the material transitions from blue to pink upon exposure to sufficient light energy to indicate when full cure is achieved. The material also has the ability to remain flexible at higher temperature processes up to 204°C [400°F].
The masking resin cures quickly after spraying or dipping and is easily removed by peeling after exposure to heat. A hot-water soak may be used to ease removal. When properly cured, SpeedMask® 726-SC maskant leaves no residue on the surface. The masking compound is recommended for surfaces such as nickel alloys, steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, cobalt, as well as glass.
Dymax materials have no solvents added and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. Dymax lamps offer the ideal balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures. SpeedMask® 726-SC maskant is in full compliance with the RoHS2 Directives 2015/863/EU.
