Medical Electronics Conformal Coating with Secondary Heat Cure


MD® 1184-M-B conformal coating is a flexible, high-performance, light-curable material for medical electronic applications. The product features Multi-Cure®, a secondary heat cure capability for applications where shadow areas exist. The blue-black, low-gloss opaque color is ideal for concealing components on circuitry and is highly visible for inspection of coating coverage. It is also useful for light blocking as well as for tamper-proofing parts. 1184-M-B bonds well to CAP, polyurethane, polystyrene, steel, SAN substrates, and more. Additionally, the coating has a number of biocompatibility approvals including ISO 10993 Cytotoxicity and ISO 10993 Intracutaneous.

Dymax MD® medical device adhesives have no solvents added and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds enables faster processing, greater output, and lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax light-curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for medical device assembly. Dymax lamps offer the optimum balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures.

MD® 1184-M-B conformal coating is in full compliance with the RoHS Directives 2015/863/EU.
