Light/Moisture-Cure Conformal Coating

Dual-cure 9481-E conformal coating is a solvent-free, chemically-resistant, UV/Visible light- and moisture-cure material. It’s specifically formulated to ensure complete cure in applications where shadow areas on high-density printed circuit boards are a concern. The coating flows underneath components into shadow areas and cures over time with ambient moisture. The product fluoresces vivid blue when exposed to UV light (365 nm) for easy inspection of coating coverage. 9481-E also features a low viscosity for easy dispensing.

This product is optimized for coating thicknesses between 25 mic [0.001 in] and 127 mic [0.005 in] and excels in coating applications where chemical and abrasion resistance is critical. The material also has MIL-I-46058C, IPC-CC-830B, and UL 746-E approvals.

Dymax materials are solvent free and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. Dymax lamps offer the optimum balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures. Dual-cure 9481-E conformal coating is in full compliance with the RoHS Directives 2002/95/EC and 2003/11EC.
