Maskant for Thermal Barrier Coating
Light-curable SpeedMask® 733-G-REV-A maskant provides superior protection of metal surfaces and orthopedic implants during thermal barrier coating, aggressive grit blasting, shot peening, and also plasma spray processes. The fast-curing thixotropic gel is sprayable onto components and resilient to blasting media.
The product’s green color enables precise placement onto part surfaces, ensuring complete material coverage before cure. SpeedMask® 733-G-REV-A maskant is a 100% organic masking resin that cures quickly and is easily removed by incineration in an air furnace at a minimum temperature of 650°C [1200°F]. Recommended surfaces include nickel alloys, super alloys, titanium, as well as cobalt chrome, stainless steel, aluminum, and steel.
SpeedMask Resins contain no nonreactive solvents and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax light-curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. Dymax lamps offer the ideal balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures. SpeedMask® 733-G-REV-A maskant is in full compliance with the RoHS2 Directives 2015/863/EU.
