Plating and Aggressive Grit-Blasting SpeedMask® Maskant
Light-curable SpeedMask® 728-G maskant offers good surface protection during machining, aggressive grit blasting, plating, shot-peening, and anodizing processes. The product helps with the manufacture, overhaul, repair, rework, and surface finishing of metal components used in aerospace engine (turbines, vanes, blades), orthopedic implant, and general masking applications.
The formulation is an 100% organic resin, which cures quickly and is easily removed by peeling after hot-water soak. This masking resin features a high-visibility green color that is easy to see when sprayed, enabling accurate placement of the material onto parts. The product protects substrates such as nickel alloys, steel, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, and glass. When properly cured with light energy, SpeedMask® 728-G maskant leaves no residue on the surface.
Dymax materials are solvent free and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. Dymax lamps offer the ideal balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures. SpeedMask® 728-G maskant is in full compliance with the RoHS2 Directives 2015/863/EU.
