OP-81-LS is a one-part, solvent-free epoxy specially designed for rapid optical alignment. This epoxy is light curable but also features a low temperature heat-curing function for applications where shadow areas exist or where only heat cure is preferred. It has very low volumetric shrinkage during cure, low CTE for stability through thermal excursions, and meets ASTM E595 outgassing requirements. OP-81-LS is designed to bond dissimilar substrates, including polycarbonate, glass, acrylic, and metallic surfaces and is well suited for use in fiber optic applications. Dymax also offers low shrink epoxies recommended for automotive ADAS applications as well as camera module bonding.

Ensure Strong Bonds to Lightly Colored or Opaque Syringes
MD® 1501-M-UR was designed for bonding lightly colored, opaque, or translucent substrates used in the assembly of syringes. These substrates can sometimes block UV light from reaching the adhesive, making them troublesome to cure. This adhesive cures with both UV and visible light to overcome this issue. Cures are super fast, making it an ideal candidate for high-speed, automated needle lines.

Dual-Cure 3401 plastic bonder cures with UV/Visible light and a secondary ambient moisture-cure system making it an ideal adhesive for applications requiring shadow-area curing. The product’s ability to cure in shadowed areas over time prevents failures due to loss of adhesion. 3401 is designed for bonding PC and ABS as well as metals. It exhibits low shrinkage, resulting in less stress at the bond line, and it cures fast – in 1 second – enabling higher production rates.
