Dual-Cure Conformal Coating
Dual-cure 9482 conformal coating is a solvent-free, UV light- and moisture-cure re-workable material. The coating flows underneath components on printed circuit boards into shadow areas, and cures with light first, then over time with ambient moisture. For easy visual inspection of the coating coverage, the product fluoresces blue under low intensity UV “black” light (365 nm).
9482 is engineered for superior circuit protection in applications requiring coating thicknesses up to 0.254 mm (0.010 in). The material has excellent re-workability and thermal cycling properties. Applications include conformal coating of electronic assemblies for the automotive, general/consumer electronics, and appliance, as well as military equipment manufacturing industries. In addition, the product meets IPC-CC-830B, UL 746-E, and MIL-I-46058C standards.
