With the development regarding effects of new (meth)acrylate resins on impact strength in 3D printing, the ability to replicate properties of thermoplastic materials can be achieved or exceeded. The goal in targeting the temperature and impact resistant properties of specific Bomar oligomers is improvements in impact strength while maintaining a high Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT). Targeting HDT and impact resistance will allow formulators to create photopolymer-based 3D printing resins that are strong and flexible.
