About the job:

• Communicate between all departments concerning the availability of incoming raw materials or components, QC information, and batch manufacturing information
• You will need to operate powered material handling equipment
• Responsible for the material movement within the chemical operation department.
• Maintain stockroom ensuring that transaction, transfer receipt is handled properly
• Report to Inventory control any suspected inventory discrepancies
• Keep the facility clean and clear of clutter or obstructions. Maintain and collect hazardous and non-hazardous waste in accordance with current EH&S policies
• Accurately fill and properly attaches labels to accepted products as instructed by the Department Supervisor and Team leader and to assist other associates within the department as needed   
• Put raw materials away in chemical operation department and carry out electronic transactions
• Load oven with raw material for scheduled work and transfer electronically
• Perform stock counts
• Handle and organize hazardous and non-hazardous waste collection areas in accordance to current EH&S policies
• Clean mixing vessels
• Maintain inventory by putting away drums and pails in their proper locations after they are used each shift
• Ensure all equipment is put back into the proper location at the end of each day
• Carry out 6s duties as assigned
• Properly dispose of empty adhesive pails and drums and coordinate with Inventory Control
• Perform transaction in ERP system
• Maintain a clean and organize work station and bulk storage and finished product inventory in accordance with the 6S guidelines
• Provide all documentation in a neat, organize and legible format that is present at the work station
• Cooperate with any company-wide Human Resource sharing
• Maintain a professional behavior in all inter and intradepartmental interactions
• Perform all other duties as assigned                                           

The ideal candidate: 

• Min secondary education
• Able to read and understand English
• Must be physically fit and able to handle the weight of approx. 20kg to 25kg
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Basic safety knowledge and production housekeeping practices
