Material Handler, Production, Singapore
We are looking for a material handler who will provide the Blending & Down Packaging department with material to fulfill orders. They will be responsible for material movement within the warehouse and stockrooms, maintaining the stockroom, and ensuring that transactions and receipts are handled properly. The material handler will report any suspected inventory discrepancies to the Planner and must be qualified to operate powered material handling equipment. They will be responsible to keep the facility clean and clear of clutter and obstructions as well as be responsible for company waste management.
About the job:
- Provide Blending & Down Packaging raw materials to manufacture product
- Maintain inventory by putting away drums and pails in proper locations after use
- Maintain warehouse by making sure at the end of the day all finished products, supplies, and parts, are properly and neatly stored
- Manage warehouse inventory and perform monthly cycle count
- Support production in the filtering process
- Provide packaging support for finish and partial finish goods
- Properly dispose of empty adhesive pails as needed when conditions permit
- Keep warehouse and material handling workstation swept, clean, and organized each day
- Responsible for executing and ensuring waste management according to the company waste management plan
- 4-eye check and assurance of raw material picking, weighing, and charging for both blending and down packing
- Gain an understanding of production processes in order to conduct a hands-on operational 4-eye check of operators
- SOP compliance
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate:
- N or O Level equivalent
- Have the ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities
- Qualified to operate powered material handling equipment
