Manager, Equipment Business Development, Shanghai

Overall responsibility for regional equipment business development with an emphasis on the sales growth through the Dymax sales team of Dymax portfolio of light-curing, dispensing, and filling equipment and direct sale responsibility of non-Dymax branded equipment to non-Dymax adhesive customers


About the job:

  • Mentor and support Dymax Regional Sales Team to sell Dymax equipment products in order to ensure revenue objectives are met and plans to grow existing business are developed
  • Responsible for direct customer sales of non-Dymax branded equipment products
  • Managing existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities
  • Identify, monitor, and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy and building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets
  • Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
  • Develop and implement training programs for the sales team
  • Serve as main focal point and liaison to other cross-functional departments such as operations, sales account management, customer service, quality, and engineering to ensure the needs of the customer are met in a timely manner, following robust processes and polices
  • Identify and propose opportunities, programs, and promotions that bring value to customers, while increasing revenue and profitability
  • Maintain regular contact with major customers including the customer team in their manufacturing facility to build loyalty and ensure long-term revenue potential
  • Develop and implement reports on key departmental metrics, such as revenue pipeline, forecast, and actual revenue generated
  • Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities
  • Develop and implement overarching outbound sales and business development strategy, sales processes, structure, and best practices across the company
  • Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals
  • Ability to deliver presentations to customers at working level as well as to executives
  • Asia: Provide project management support for customized equipment products
  • Travel to customers, trade shows, vendor partners, industry and professional development seminars as required (up to 50%)

 

The ideal candidate: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Engineering, Business, or related technical disciplines preferred
  • 5 years of sales or business development experience
  • Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation
  • Working experience with sales techniques
  • Proficiency in analytical and strategic thinking to monitor, forecast, and drive sales growth
  • Must be able to blend technical and administrative skills to drive business goals and develop plans for future business needs
  • Must be able to self-teach and have the drive to become an expert in their role; coaching, developing, and leading their team along the way
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills both written and verbal.  Must be able to summarize analysis, issues, and events clearly and concisely to drive actionable and meaningful results
  • Must be able to effectively work across all functional levels of the organization, including both internal and external customer relationships
  • Proficiency in enterprise software for inventory control, scheduling & planning, and customer relationship management (CRM)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS-Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
