Multi-Cure®

984-LVUF

Ultra Fluorescing Conformal Coating with Secondary Heat-Cure Capability

Dymax Multi-Cure® 984-LVUF conformal coating is a fluorescing, single-component, 100% solids material formulated for rapid room-temperature cure when exposed to UV light. This coating has a secondary heat-cure capability which allows it to cure in areas shadowed from light. The product features low viscosity to rapidly conformal coat printed circuit boards and other electronic assemblies.

984-LVUF has ultra-high fluorescence after curing under black light, so inspection of the bond line is easy with automated vision systems. This thin-layer material cures almost instantly to a depth of 7 mils and exhibits adhesion to a variety of metal, ceramic, and glass-filled epoxy surfaces.

The product is optimized for coating thicknesses between 51 mic [0.002 in] and 150 mic [0.006 in]. The low viscosity of this formulation makes it suitable for use in all types of spray equipment. 984-LVUF excels in coating applications where chemical as well as abrasion resistance is critical.

Dymax materials have no solvents added and cure upon exposure to light. Their ability to cure in seconds results in lower processing costs. When cured with Dymax UV light curing spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyor systems they deliver optimum speed and performance for maximum efficiency. Dymax lamps offer the optimum balance of UV and visible light for the fastest, deepest cures.

Multi-Cure® 984-LVUF conforms to MIL-I-46058C, IPC-CC-830-B, UL, and in full compliance with the RoHS2 Directives 2015/863/EU.
